What is the Hourly Rate calculator?

It's a simple tool that will help you calculate how much you need to charge per hour based
on the lifestyle you plan to have and expenses associated with
your web design freelancing work.

Because if you're not sure about what hourly rate you're using on your web design contract, you're starting on the wrong footing!

What is your current annual salary or profit after all expenses have been deducted (before taxes)?
Do you want to improve your annual profit? Insert the additional amount you want to earn or percentage increase.

How many weeks in the year do you plan to bill? Ignore holidays, but if you plan to travel for 2 weeks (let's say for a conference which is not billable), deduct two weeks.
How many days per week do you plan to bill? Ignore holidays, but if you plan to work on a personal product/project on Fridays, deduct 1 day.
How many hours do you plan to work each day?
How much of your time is usually billable? For example, do you spend time engaging with your social networks and looking for additional work?
How many vacation days do you plan to take each year?
Are there public, religious or other holidays which you plan to be away from work?
Plan for some days of down-time while sick.

What are your travel expenses? Include approximate expenses for flights, travel accomodation and living allowances while travelling.
